Follow the written instructions below or watch the video.
Select the Settings section on the control panel and then go to the Configure tab. To configure notifications for your customers, go to the Email settings tab.
From addresses and SMTP #
On the first page From addresses and SMTP you can configure the email address from which emails will be sent to your customers.
Please note that this setting is optional. Without this setting notifications will work, but they will be sent from Rainex email by default.
Click Add SMTP Server, enter the pre-prepared data in the pop-up window and click Connect.
Note that you can use the data of an existing Server if you have one or create a new one beforehand.
Many servers have limits on the number of emails sent, so Rainex allows you to connect more than one server. Just click on the +Add new button and enter the data in the same way as for the first server.
Notification settings #
On the Notification settings page, you have several very important settings available to you.
Please note that the settings for each language in which you plan to send emails to your customers are done separately. Click on the language in the upper right corner and select the one you want to make settings for from the drop-down list.
First, this is where you enable each individual email to be sent for a specific trigger event. Simply toggle the slider to enable or disable the automatic sending of a particular email.
Secondly, by clicking on the eye icon, you can view the content of the email already as a customized template as your customer will see it.
And thirdly, you can customize the content of each individual email. Click on the settings icon and go to the card of a particular email.
Setting up the general appearance of all emails, including the logo and brand color is done in the special Branding section.
Please note that customization of each email in each language you plan to send to your customers is done separately. Click on the language in the upper right corner and select the one you want to customize for from the drop-down list.
Click on the customization icon and go to the card of the specific email.
Rainex has prepared template emails for you, but you can customize each one to your liking. Here you can change the text of each email element, including variables.
Please note that you customize the notification in the selected language for the brand selected on the left. For each brand in each language, you customize each individual email separately. This gives you the flexibility to change the content depending on your companies and improved localization.
Send a test email to your email address to make sure that its appearance and content meet your expectations. Also, you can always reset the content of the email to our basic template.
Don’t forget to Save the result of the editing you have done.
Variables settings #
On the Variables settings page, you customize the very variables that are contained in the body of emails to customers.
Please note that for each language the variables are configured separately by clicking on the language and selecting the one you need.
On the page you can see a complete list of all variables used in all emails. In general, variables in emails are filled automatically with necessary data, and the variables on this page are a kind of protection against failures. I.e. these variables exist as a guarantee in case, for some technical reason, the data, e.g. Invoice ID, is not pulled up to the email, so that your customer will still receive a clear and comprehensible email and not a meaningless set of characters.
You can edit these variables as you see fit. For example, edit the fields with your company details so that they are correct at all times.
Finally, click Save Changes.
Event notifications #
This feature allows you to be aware of all important customer lifecycle events without having to login regularly. Monitor customer actions and take necessary actions in a timely manner, ensuring stable customer growth and cash flow.
Go to the Event notifications tab and here you will see setting functionality similar to customer notifications for your convenience.
Enter your email address to receive notifications. You can use either the email that Rainex is signed in to, a backup work email or even your personal one.
Use the toggle to enable the notifications you want to receive.
You can view the approximate content of each email by clicking on the eye icon.
Please note that content customization is not available for this type of email.
