Create student subscriptions in 9 steps

The fastest way to set up a system designed specifically for the needs of education platforms. Master Rainex one step at a time, just like your students do in class.

Step 1

Onboarding

Go through the onboarding process that will help you initially familiarize yourself with the platform and set up a few basic items. In 4 easy steps, configure your base currency, create a product, define the first plan for the product and set its price.

 

Make getting started with Rainex even easier with AI Onboarding. Our artificial assistant will help you create a first plan with the parameters you need.

Gateway configuration

On the Configure tab, you can connect one, several, or all of the presented payment gateways.

 

Refer to the Guide instructions for recommendations on how to connect the desired gateway to Rainex. 

 

Setting up the needed Currencies and Routing will complete your multi-gateways and give you access to seamless payment acceptance worldwide.

Branding setting

Customize not just identifying marks, but a clear association and connection of your brand with your classes for your students.

 

A single customization automatically shapes the appearance of your Invoices, Notifications, and your customers’ accounts in Customer Portal.

 

Go to the Branding tab and create your brand by filling in the fields with the required data.

 

How to do this and what each field is for is described in detail in the Guide.

 

If your business is extensive and you run multiple brands, Rainex will take care of each area, giving you flexible management.

Notification settings

Here in the Configure tab, let’s set up automatic notifications for your customers.

 

Set up an SMTP server so that customers will relate your messages to your product at a glance, thus increasing customer trust in the information. Enable the triggers you need to send notifications and customize each individual email in each of the languages you need. For more information on customizing notifications, check out our Guide.

NOTE! 

Do not skip this step. Without the notifications configured by you, Rainex will not be able to send invoices, payment confirmations and other messages to your customers.

Improve your customer data management by enabling Event Notifications that inform you of all customer actions from the beginning to the end of their life cycles.

Subscription Plan with Charges per Lesson

A plan created in the onboarding process can be supplemented in the Catalog section under the Subscription Plans tab. Creating and editing items is described in detail in the Guide

 

The per unit pricing model of plans is especially suitable for lessons and allows you and your students to create lesson plans in an efficient and reasonable way. And the free quantity item helps you run promotions by engaging students with a few free lessons included in their plan.

 

Don’t forget to set the prices for the plan in the currencies and frequencies you want (customizable in the Configure tab, refer to the Guide).

 

NOTE! 

The trial period is enabled when you set the price. So you can include and give different trials for different currencies and frequencies.

Step 6

Configuring additional services

Complement your plans with Addons and Charges, expanding the range of services for customers and thus opening upsell opportunities for your business.

 

Create addons for those services or products that will regularly supplement a student’s lessons on a plan of their choosing. The Guide contains everything you need to know for quick customization, including video tutorials. 

 

Create charges for one-time sales of services or products, such as a customer purchasing a textbook. As always, you can refer to the Guide for step-by-step instructions.

Creating customers with auto payments

If you already have a set of existing customers, import their data by following the instructions in the Guide

 

The Guide will also assist you in entering data of existing or new customers manually in the Billing section under the Customers tab. Simply enter the details and billing information of the customer required to generate and send invoices.

There are only 2 steps involved to activate customer autopay:

  1. When creating or editing customer data, enable Auto-collection.
  2. In the customer card click Add payment method, select the connected payment gateway that supports auto payment and share the generated link with the customer.

And when using the Customer Portal, customer data is entered into the system automatically when they are authorized!

Step 8

Setting up customer subscription

A simple combination of settings allows you to create different subscriptions that meet both the needs of your customers and your business.

 

Define for whom and what you are selling in this subscription.

Configure invoicing and debiting options.

 

Determine the terms and conditions for starting the subscription.

 

Sounds pretty easy, doesn’t it?

Customer Portal

Provide your students with a convenient and reliable point of purchase and self-service for their subscriptions and increase their engagement with the process and your service.

Subdomain, branding and language choices open up flexibility for you to customize your customer trust building tool. Custom Domain allows you to use the brandability of the Portal to its full potential.

 

Determine which products will be featured in the Portal. Plans, addons and charges belonging to this product family will be offered to your customers in the Portal, unless you have specified otherwise in the cards of these items. And Sorting Items once the Portal is complete will allow you to present your offerings in the most favorable light. 

 

All that remains is to configure billing terms and customers’ ability to edit and cancel subscriptions and your Customer Portal is ready to use.
